One of our favourite sushi locations in Friedrichshain is Le Coq D’or (The golden cock), on the Boxhagener Straße. Only around the corner from the popular Simon Dach Kiez, is a rather semi-large restaurant with a large collection of sushi on offer. Yes, the deco might be a bit off and yes, it is not your average hoity toity super sleek sushi saloon. But do not judge a book by its cover.

After an evening of hobnobbing, nibbling and drinking cocktails at the Desigual party on Kudamm, Holly and I were still hungry. We briefly contemplated the Cogai restaurant which was on our way home and still one of our most beloved locations. However, both of us chose to take the high road and go for something

In a small side street, just around the corner from the Eberswalder Straße in Prenzlauer Berg, you can find another of Berlin’s many Vietnamese sushi restaurants. However, if you are looking for great food for absolutely budget prices in a great atmosphere, Sushi Number One is the place to be!

Our first facebook fan recommendation that we tested out on a celebratory Friday evening. In the middle of the hustle and bustle of Kreuzberg, only a few steps away from the Oranienstraße, you can find many little boutique restaurants. Green Rice, a Vietnamese mini-restaurant, is one of them. Prepare to amaze your tastebuds!

On various Berlin Mitte hot spot locations you can find Vapiano: an Italian food chain restaurant. Not very exciting you say? You might be surprised. At Vapiano you can pick and choose your fresh foods and pay very little amounts of money for doing so – in a surprisingly jet set-ty atmosphere.

Right opposite of the large Volkspark Friedrichshain is the Lebanese restaurant Qadmous: an interesting food challenge for anyone into mediterranean foods. Grilled pieces of lamb, chicken, beef, bowls of fresh couscous, stuffed wineleaves and heaps of humus – it is only a small selection of what this restaurant has to offer.

Indian food, the land of curries, warm garlic breads and sweet and spicey chutneys. One lonesome evening, I ventured back into the world of ordering food in Berlin. This evening, it was time for Indian foods and I ordered at a small delivery service restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg called Amran.

Vietnamese food is one of my favourites. And if you’re in town, near Alexanderplatz, Prenzlauer Berg or hopping around Hackescher Markt, you should definitely pay Goodmorning Vietnam a visit. Beautiful restaurant with a casual atmosphere and great Vietnam food.

In the middle of the city center of Berlin, near Friedrichstraße and on a side street of Unter den Linden we find Ishin. A large, clean and authentically Asian sushi restaurant. Here you can catch up on your real fresh fish and vegetables with sushi, Don and other steamy delights.

Around the corner from the Schönhauser Allee, in the middle of popular Prenzlauer Berg, we find the small South-African restaurant Cape Town. Here one can eat authentic South-African food – anything from Bobotie to Potjie and from zebra to crocodile. The place for an exciting food safari?
