Berlin is known for its promi hot spots and fashionable visitors. Not irregularly one can spot great German (or international) famous faces amidst the masses of Berlin-loving locals. One of the greatest German actors that we have a personal weak spot for, ever since his charming burp in the nostalgic Goodbye Lenin!, is Daniel Brühl. And Daniel happens to own a restaurant in Berlin Kreuzberg, a tapas place called Bar Raval. With flushed cheeks and highly dressed up oufits, we found it time to pay a visit to this foodie Brühl location.

As a fan and lover of tapas, I expected a nice tapas evening at Tapitas, which is a small and even tiny little restaurant shop on one of Prenzlauer Berg’s most lively street. It always look full when you walk by, but they also have a little secret room in the back. The walls were filled with crates of wine bottles, the music ethnically inviting and the little tables and chairs remind you of sitting outisde on a Spanish patio. Ten points for authenticity and atmosphere. And though their menu is small, their food looks yummy.

In the midst of snowy evenings and chilly winterdays, and after all those christmas markets in Berlin, it is time to move on to the warmer corners of the world. After weeks of mind-numbing chills, maybe you too feel like it is time for some warm and cuddly foods in a comfortable and sweet environment.

Hidden away in the geographic climax of Prenzlauer Berg, a small Greek restaurant called Tourlou opens its doors every evening to welcome hungry guests. I live basically around the corner from the little restaurant and as a satisfied customer, I thought it was time to write my piece on this little Greek treasure.

On the Oranienplatz, in the middle of the vibrant Bezirk Kreuzberg, a small Spanish tapas restaurant called Sol y Sombra awaits its peckish customers. If you’re looking for a cosy night out, this is the place to be.

Tres Tapas, located on the populair Helmholtzplatz in Prenzlauer Berg is a classical and nicely atmospheric Spanish tapas restaurant. They have a great selection of Spanish wines to complement your order of varied tapas. A great location for a romantic rendez-vous while feeding each other olives.
