Once in a while we actually come across an amazingly surprising restaurant. The Melbourne Canteen is one of those restaurants. It is an Australian bar-restaurant with some Aussie classics and general continental yummy food. Located in Berlin Neukölln on the Pannierstraße, it is right in the middle of the hectic and bustling hipster vibes of the city.

If there is one topic I feel particularly passionate about, it is about brunch buffets in Berlin. A brunch buffet is a set-up at a restaurant, with large bowls and (heated) containers with pre-prepared breakfast and lunch foods. I recommend no-one to engage in one. Why?
I love weasels. It is this thing that I have always had, ever since I saw my first weasel in the wild. Fuchsbau in Kreuzberg is the first bar-cum-brunch-spot that combines my love for alcohol and food with my love for weasels. Sometimes you want to find a small, secluded and low-key place to shut yourself away in. With a little bit of wi-fi, a freshly baked bread roll and some strong and flavoursome coffee. Brunch in Berlin is an essential activity, also adopted by trendy parents in the outskirts of Prenzlauer Berg. In Kreuzberg and Neukölln brunching is still young and populated mostly by the trend setting hipsters that Berlin is so well-known for. Mathilda is one of these places, with its small-scaled restaurant located in the Graefestraße right in the middle of Kreuzberg.
I had mentioned it briefly before, in our best locations for drinking a cup of coffee in Berlin. But Café Bilderbuch (Café Picture Book) deserves a lot more than a brief coffee recommendation. It is a library, a place for art, a gallery and a restaurant all in one.

And Berlin is also one of the best cities to explore all culinairy possibilities the capital has to offer by going for a long and elaborate breakfast – and take all the time you want, until it morphs into a lunch or a brunch. And we have selected some of the most luxerious, cute, budget and fabulous restaurants for doing just that.
